Cole World: The Sideline Story

Cole World leaked yesterday(?) and I flirted with the idea of not snatching it up, but I think ya'll know I couldn't wait. A good quarter of the tracks are already established hits/classics (Lights Please, In The Morning, Can't Get Enough, Work Out, Who Dat) and I'm gonna write this as I listen though the new tracks for the first time. Your boy has been telling everybody to get up on Cole for months, welcome to the future.

Dollar & A Dream III - So far the kid is 1 for 1. Try not to lose it when the piano comes in.

Sideline Story - This is actually the 6th track on the album, and when you toss it in with Dollar & A Dream, Lights Please, and Can't Get Enough, well, this album has instant classic written all over it. If you aren't feeling it by now you're dead.

Cole World - Banger. See my man Nate, asked me if I gained weight, naw. My pockets got fatter, thats all.

Lost Ones - Wow. This is classic Cole, at his best. Might already be my favorite track next to Lights Please

Nobody's Perfect ft. Missy Elliot - I've always loved Missy. It's sad to think 3/4 of the people who stayed up all night waiting to get Carter IV might not give a shit about this album.

Never Told - I can't rave about all the songs on this album right? Real talk, this is the weakest track on the album so far and it still goes. If Cole isn't your favorite rapper's favorite rapper, you need to listen to new music.

Rise & Shine - It's clear at this point I'll be listening to this album for months. These hooks....damn.

God's Gift - This dude just raps like he's hungry and I can't say enough times how good he is at creating a hook, my neck is gonna hurt from nodding my head so much.

Breakdown - Almost too real, but so good. Damn. That's a shame cuz our last name is the same, the blood type flowin' through our veins is the same

Daddy's Little Girl - At this point I'm bored with telling you how good these songs are. Cole World, Go Ducks.
