Summer Grind

Now I know y'all have heard of this show Breaking Bad. (If you haven't....check it. Now.)

Flash forward to season 5, when Walt gets a new car. Junior, who got a new car but his madre didn't approve, finally gets the car from his dad.

Point of the story: the song is awesome. Here's the scene

And here's the song, "Bonfire" by Knife Party.

Rage Valley is dubstep for sho. Its probably nothing new, but this song "Bonfire" is nice and grungy.

Bonus Track!

I came across this awesome mashup yesterday with Khia and Carly Rae Jepsen. I know you're sick of Call Me Maybe, but this is a clean mash with Khia (My Neck, My Back).

All You Ladies Call Me Maybe Like This

Keep survivin' da heat!

Shazam Gems

Sometimes I find myself at a club, bar, or other areas for dancing, and I hold my phone up. No, its not because I'm cool, or because I need more light (both are true). No, I'm that guy that Shazams in the club. Here are some great finds from this weekend.

Jah

Titanium (feat. Sia) - David Guetta

Cinema feat. Gary Go - Cinema

Cinema - Skrillex Remix

Illmerica - Wolfgang Gartner
This song is ill. Good bass, good patterns for a semi-techno song. Also a pretty cool music vid too.

Graffiti The World - Rehab

I like this song. A lot. We are in a scary world, and once in a while a good song comes around that is real, bringing the problems of our little world to light. If there's one song Lets change the world.

Truth

My Princess Gone

How's you're monday? Good?

Yeah, mine's shitty too. Good thing I have some beats to make it better. The chord progression in the beginning of the song is so awesome, and I'm a big fan of it. Also love the old-school Apple font in the beginning.

Enjoy. Jah rasta.

Knife Party & Pendulum

The inspiration behind this post was the Pendulum song Propane Nightmares which has been on repeat all day!!! Pendulum's  Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen are also the  famous duo behind one of electronic music's most demanded acts,  KNIFE PARTY! You may also know Rob Swire as the singer from the famous Deadmau5 anthem, Ghost n Stuff.  Knife Party has been added to USC event's Paradiso Festival at the Gorge Amphitheater on June 23rd. You might know a couple of the other artists performing there as well, AVICII, AFROJACK, ABOVE AND BEYOND, EXCISION, Dillon Francis, Chris Lake, R3hab, Kill the Noise, Figure, Nervo, Michael Woods and LA Riots.

If you've never heard of Knife Party, well then watch this short video and you'll get the picture.

If you want more here is their 2012 Ultra Music Festival Set. Warning... you might get destroyed from the musical lazers.

Here of couse is the song that sparked the post and has been on repeat all day!

MCA: A Tribute

What a legend. Singing with Ad-Rock and Mike D, MCA's contribution to the music world in the form of the Beastie Boys will always be a blessing.

John Brown's Body - Full Control

I am a reggae fiend. I actually had a convo with Andy Saxton last night about white people and reggae.....and if it mixes or not. Obviously Jews and reggae mix well (Alpha Blondy, Matisyahu), but bands like Sublime and Slightly Stoopid have their own feel, sort-of like the reggae feel.

ANYWAY. This is an awesome song I found on Pandora. Has the hard-bass-on-every-quarter-note, upbeat reggae beat, full of good vibrations...or if you're fluent in Rastafarian, "vi-bray-shons." Really awesome track. Give your ears some sugar today!
